Rifle for Africa
« on: April 15, 2007, 05:04:18 AM »
I been thinking about using my 300 Rem Ultra Mag shooting 200 Nosler partitions for the plains game in S. Africa.

The biggest game animal I'll be shooting is the Zebra. I've seen Hunting Shows on T.V. where the hunter was using the 300 RUM shooting 200 Partitions for Zebra. Has anybody done this?

I also have another post where I was taking my 338 RUM and my 300 Rum, But I was just curious what other hunters think about using the 300 RUM for Zebra. ???

The 300 RUM should be plenty for Zebra and all of the other plains game as well.

As well as the 30-06 works, I can see no reason that the 300 Magnums wouldn't work just fine. In Africa, like anywhere else, its where you hit them that counts more than what you hit them with.
shot placement is everything.
