precision rifleworks

was just on precision rifleworks forum and says closing down.  just when i was thinking of trying one of those stub barrel ideas.  anyone know much about this. a loss of a neet handi idea.

Hell... that's sad news indeed... I was hoping to send them my remington and my 10/22

Fred, I'm assuming you're the same Fred that I've seen over there.. If so that's a damn nice .308 they put together for ya... It was one of the things that sold me on thier services.

Damn shame. :'(

Hello everyone.  Just joined this board.  Had joined Precision Rifleworks' board only about a week ago and sent them two barrels to work on.  I called Kim today not knowing that they are "shutting down".  He verified that my barrels had arrived and that he would either return them or do the work himself once things settle down (he gets some sleep). 

Kim seemed really sincere and genuinely dedicated to keeping the business going in one form or another.

Does anyone on this board have any experience with Kim's work?  PR (at least the forum, seemed to highlight David's work foremost).  Kim openly admits he is not the machinist that David is, but I'm not asking for a barrel stub, just some basic glass bedding, forestock pillar bedding, crown work, and 8-40 screws in the scope mounts. 

Thanks for any information any of you can supply.

What a shame! I hate to see any small business go out, but especially this one. Several were watching the progress on the 45ACP Handi.

On a bright note, one of my rifles is done and the other is waiting for a reamer to arrive. Kim seems determined to get everyone either finished or squared up and then continue on with the stuff he knows. I'm supporting his efferts as much as I can. Guy
