Anyone see any brown bears out yet on or near the ABC islands?

Yep,

There's been reports for a couple weeks of brownies out on Baranof (the "B" in "ABC") Island.  The local vetenarian just had one of his dogs killed, and eaten today by a bear near town.

Went out on the boat today, at a nice low tide, but didn't see any bears.

Had to do a quick internet search, to make sure I knew what sedge grass actually was.  Quite frankly, even though I've been out on the water, I can't recall the condition of the grass.

I have seen lot's of skunk cabbage though!  :)
