My dad knew a guy who hunted in Northern Wisconsin during the 1940's with a bolt-action Savage. He thinks it was chambered in 22 Hi-Power, but isn't sure. He asked his daughter about it and she remembers it being a .25-20, but SHE wasn't certain, either.
As far as I know, the Model 20 was chambered in .250 and .300 Savage. Was it chambered in .22 Hi-Power? Was there another bolt action rifle chambered in 22 Hi-Power? Or, Did they have a .25-20 bolt rifle?
Just trying to clear up a mystery.
