I am impressed
« on: January 23, 2007, 07:36:00 PM »
I took my new handi out today I fired 5 rounds out of the 280 first shot was way off Shot again in the black. Made one final adjustment and fired 3 shots into 1.5 inches@ 100 yards Not bad for a 200$ gun. Cant wait to really see what this new handi can do. Hopefully spring will be near. I dont like shooting when it is 20 degrees

One of the better Handi calibers and not far from 7mm Mag performance when you need it.  Try some Fusions when you get the chance.

Nice job and enjoy.  ;D

EVOC ONE is right on the money about the .280 Remington in a Handi, it is a wonderful combination and great hunting round. If you reload you can do anything with it....<><.... :)

I had a chrono but my cousin shot it. Dont ask me how but he did. Out of curiocity what can I expect? Iiam currently shooting
Federal Premiums with 140 gr noslers. I figured I would go with the good stuff considering it was only a dollar more than Remington core locked

Oddly enough most reports from happy 280 owners use the cheap Core-Lokts. I am sure they will Que in and share some pics or remarks on how well theirs shoots them  ;)
Congrats on the rifle by the way, it's an awesome caliber.
And is on my list...

myarmor is correct about the ammo, both my .280's shoot the Remington Core Lokts extremely well, my 26" barreled .280 and one of my favorite woods carry rifles, my 19" barrreled .280 called "Thunderboomer"....<><.... :)

Both 140 and 150 grain Core Locts shoot very well in each of my .280's.  Until I recently tried the Fusions, the Remingtons were the only brand I had shot.
