I was looking for a scope for a 223 for $150 or under. I just cant seem to find a used one at the gunshop that is either worth what he's asking or what I'm looking for. I want something around 4- 12 or more power.

The Mueller APV would be a great choice.

On one of mine I have a Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5x20x50 and it's great. Cost is just under $100 on sale just about everywhere on line. Don't pay over $100 for one because you don't have to!!!....<><....

It's a little more than you want to pay, but I just got a Bushnell Trophy 4-12 x 40 from opticsplanet.com for around $165. I think they're still offering free shipping right now. I think it's a great scope. The Banner's might be a little cheaper.

To take full advantage of the 12X remember it's a good idea to have an AO.
Maybe a bit of a stretch to a Bushy 4-12x Elite 3200

I just bought a pentax 4x12x40 with the balistiplex for 129 at sportsmens warehouse. If you want a little more power the banner 6x18x50 is 119 IIRC. Also i really like the glass in the pentax. I believe for in that price range it is the best scope you can get, but that is just my two cents.
