Nikon Scope Questions
« on: January 29, 2007, 09:36:57 AM »
What's the difference, if any, between these two scopes???

1.)  Nikon Monarch Scope 3-9x 40mm BDC Reticle Matte  (Manufacturer #: 6526)

2.)  Monarch UCC Scope 3-9x40 Black Matte Nikoplex reticle  (Manufacturer #: 6525)

Is the reticle the only difference???  What does UCC represent???

Thanks,

Yes.  The only difference is the reticle.  UCC stands for "Ultra Clear Coat" which means it has better glass than the Buckmaster line.  The Buckmaster line has about 91% to 92% light transmission, while the Monarch/UCC has about 95%.
