Marlin 308 express stock for open sights or scope?

Anybody know if the comb is set for iron sights or scope?

Both .308 Marlins come with the standard pistol grip and are set up for iron sights.  So do my three other Marlins, but I have scopes mounted on all of them and have no problems.
