put a Handi on layaway!
« on: January 28, 2007, 11:28:59 AM »
Finally decided on the .223 Bull Barrel  for my first Handi and put it on layaway. Should be bringing it home in a couple of weeks. The hard part will be how long to I shoot, play with, sight in and so on before I send it in for additional barrels ;D

Layaway is my best friend, get some seed money from some OT or Santa/Birthday then skip the starbucks and bring my own lunch for a few months (my local shop has 90 day) and its home.  in the past few years that strategy has got me 2 handis, a stevens 200, a marlin 917, and a 10/22T.

I like your tagline. My favorite Tshirt is from a company called Reaperwear. That shirt shows the Grim Reaper "knee down" on a sportbike. The message is "I refuse to tiptoe through life,  only to arrive safely at Death". My personal motto.

Darkroomdan, go to the shop tomorrow and get your money back, do not, I repeat do not buy a handi rifle in 223 or anyother caliber there will be no end to your misery.  First it will be a 223 then a 45-70 and then something else and on and on, stop now before its to late.

If you refuse to heed my advice welcome to the world of handi-holics, they are great rifles/shotguns I am sure you will thoughly enjoy your new purchase, particularly if you like to tinker.  Good luck
