Ive got a original Knight Disc rifle and would like to shoot 320gr maxi hunters out of it. Wondering if anyone else shoots these and any tips on load with t7 or pyroRS. Thanks

I shot the 350 maxi hunters with 90 grains RS. love how they shoot and load but have a  hard time getting the folks around here to restock them. I also shoot the 385 grain great plains bullets. They are harder to load but 1" groups @ 100 with them kind of got me sold on them.

Definitely not trying to change your mind but if you are going to shoot conicals I would like to sugget you look strongly at the offerings of Bull Shop.  I am assuming you are shooting a 50 cal and i do not think you will find a better slip fit conical than his 460 grain MT NEx

I know that sounds huge - but it is an extremly good shooter with a BC near .205.  I am shooting it from Green Mountain 1/28 barrel with 90 grains of T7-3f getting 1500 fps from a 28" barrel.

I hat the thought of shooting conicals but the state of Idaho is forceing me to do so - after asking a lot of people about which conical for both whitetail and elk - this what they gave me.

It is slip fit - no short starter needed - just push it down with your thumb and seat it with the ram-rod - actually a little bit easier than loading sabots.  I am shooting a .503 sized conical.  .504 will work also but they are a little tighter and on a fouled barrel are more difficult to load.  i swab after each shot so the .504 works for me but the .503 is what I will order next time...

Here is a ballistic chart for that bullet...

Dan is an excellent guy to work with..

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....
