Is anyone using the speer 250 Grtand Slam Bullet in there browning BLR. I read that you could get 2400 fps in the blr 20" I though 2300 for about max in the BLR. What are you guys getting with the grand slam bullet or any other 250 in the BLR 20" Thanks Tanoose

I just loaded up some 250 grain Speer Hotcor spitzers for my BLR. My older version will let me load for an overall length of 3.0 inches with this bullet. I decided that I will use IMR 3031 as it tops out in pressure befor it gets really compressed. I am shooting for 2250 fps. I don't know of a powder that will give 2400 fps but feel 2250 is good enough for any bear or hog I will run into. All of my shooting will be under 200 yards anyway.
