The Disc Elite has no open sites and is a scope only gun.  The Disc Extreme has open sights and can also be scoped.

The Disc Elite has a reputation of being a very accurate shooting gun.

It figures that Knight would discontinue the rifle with reputation for accruacy! I love my Disc Elite. But they are gettin harder to find now.

Having a reputation for accuracy doesn't do anything to help Knight if the rifle doesn't sell well.  I've had a couple, have one right now, loved them all.  I think that most people passed on them because they don't have open sights.  Me, I've taken the sights off of my guns, looks better and one less thing to snag on a bush.  The are several NIB elites for sale on gunbroker.com.  I've been eyeing another one in stainless...........
