Hello, I am new to muzzleloading. I am going to get an H&R sidekick soon, and have a question I have never seen. In the past, a common way to keep the elements (rain/moisture/dirt/etc) out of the end of a rifle barrell outdoors was to take and cut off a finger of a latex glove, roll it up like a condom and roll it over the end of the barrell. High velocity rounds did not care and the accuracy was not compromised to any great degree. Will this work on a muzzleloader, especially since the moisture factor is a much higher concern with this type of shooting? Or will the accuracy be affected and if so, to what degree? I had planned on testing this myself, but since I have to wait a bit to try it, I thought I would ask. Thanks.
