I feel the need for a leveraction in 25/20 are these hard to come by or are there plenty out there ? I understand marlin once made them in the 1894 CL.

I have an 1894CL in .25-20 (purchased new years ago) and it is my favorite small game rifle.  Loaded with the Speer 75-grain FN it kills very well without needing a lot of velocity.   I seldom see them for sale on the used gun market.

The one thing that caught my eye on the 25/20 is for the reloader everything is available and cheap.  the brass is cheap enough so when remington does there seasonal run you can buy bulk and have enough for years. And it seems like a fun woods roaming cartridge. for small mgame up to and including coyote. As far as ammo for the non reloader there seems to be a large supply of it from winchester , it seems that remington brand ammo is mostly out of stock

The 25/20 WCF is one of my favorite rounds.  When loaded down a bit it still works very good on small game that you want some of it left to eat.

I had a custom S&W "K" frame revolver built in 25/20 WCF long ago and it has been a joy to own.

Now, if you want cheap, you can swage your own bullets useing spent shotgun primers for the jacket.  I do this sometimes just for fun...  I swage them into a "Keith" style SWC bullet like the one loaded, of the three in the pict...  They really work well!

I know it's out there but have you seen the cost?
I owned a '92 Winchester in 25-20 but sold it...I have some handloading supplies that I am going to put on the For Sale forum...
