Jemtrek, your Martini supplier, has problems

I don't know if anyone has noticed the ominous message posted JEMTREK's website. I dropped Ken an email to ask what's up. Here is his repsonse

**************
Dear Douglas,

Good to here from you. We can't say a great deal, as I believe the email is monitored, but in a nut shell, we were raided last week, & I was charged with two counts of "Unsecure Storage", & the cops confiscated 2,750 full guns & hundreds of frames & recievers. We are effectively closed for trading in full registereable (in NSW), guns & frames etc. We can still trade in parts & accessories, & genuine antiques (Antiques under NSW law not the rest of the worlds laws), so we are very effectively crippled,
pending the outcome of the court case, which could drag out, as these things do. Of course we are innocent of all charges & will pursue this vigorously as far as we can. It has been a most traumatic & stressful experience & one I would not wish on my worst enemy. Who would ever of
thought such things would ever happen in Australia?

Kindest regards,

Ken.

Ken said i could post this message so the word would get out well here's what he says, it says it all.

Dear Douglas,

Thankyou for your support. Yes, it would be a good idea to let others know what is going on, it may just save them from being the next victim. I intend to go through what is left as soon as time permits, & see what I can legally sell (under NSW law), & post a revised list on the web site. This may also take a few days or even a week, as we are still flat out gathering stuff for our defence.

Kindest regards,

Ken.

I suppose the best way we can help is to buy what he can sell.

Any other Ideas on how to support Ken?

Here is Ken’s website

http://winsoft.net.au/~jemtrek/

When he gets things together and and figures out what he may still legally sell, I intend to buy some stuff from him, even if I don't really need it.

If any one has a contact inside the NRA-ILA or 2nd amendment foundation, could you pass this  info to them.  Not  much they can do, but it can serve as a lesson.

Here are the latest messages from him.

Dear Douglas,
Thankyou. We won't give up, but I don't know how far this will go.
It has already cost us a fortune & we are selling off all our personal
stuff, such as cars & trucks & personal collections of other stuff, as well
as the investment home we were paying off next door. Already we have
dropped $30,000 on what we could of got for it, simply for the hassles
which the cops have caused, & also by them bringing the Council Building
Inspectors etc in, which means in a nutshell, we can't annexe the top block
next door for rear lane access anymore, as the Council would hold up the
sale of next door anyway, & we need the dough pretty quick.
There was absolutely no need for the cops to do that, or work
cover. It tells me that their case was on very shakey ground to try that,
but even if we win the firearms case, it will be almost impossible to trade
from here again, which will make it almost prohibitive to find somewhere
else to satisfy both the firearms mob, & local councils. Under the
provisions the cops tried to force on us. There is No one in Australia,
that could comply with safe storage requirements, that they are trying to
impose on us.
Kindest regards,
ken.

Dear Douglas,
I don't know that there is anything anyone can do at the moment, I
have the best barrister & solicitors working for me in Australia. There is
not a great deal I can say at the moment as I believe all emails & phone
calls to be monitored, & have been instructed not to say too much for fear
of jeopardising our case. I know it is smelling higher & higher by the day,
& just as a little coincidence, another mate of mine in Victoria, (deals in
similar stuff, & like me in our outspokeness), PLUS, was also a founding
member of the political party : "Pauline Hanson's One Nation" Am I just
being cynical, or is this too much of a coincidence???? He got knocked off
for exactly the same charges at exactly the same time ! The charges are :
One count unsecure storage of firearms category A & B, & one count unsecure
storage category C,D, & H. I really believe this is the beginning of the
end for ALL GUNOWNERS OF AUSTRALIA. We were the easy targets, & even if we
win, the business has suffered enormous financial & emotional, & mental
loss, which I very much doubt that we'll ever be able to overcome.
The sad part about this is it can happen to literally anyone at
all, & the laws are written, (1996 Firearms act, 1996 amendments & 1997
firearms regulation act), so as to have a different interpretation on them
for who ever reads them. There is no doubt in my mind they wanted an
example & they got one. Without jepardising my case too much, once this is
all over, win lose or draw, I intend to write a book about it, as this sort
of thing should never happen to anyone. it is what you would expect of Nazi
Germany.
 Kindest regards,
 Ken.

 Dear Douglas,
Thankyou. I don't think there is anything else anyone can do at
the moment. I will make a revised web site as soon as time permits & just
list the stuff I am able to sell, as we need cash flow, & a lot of it,
quickly but we are spending every available minute on getting evidence etc
for our defence & it is a long tedious process, & very time consuming. I
will do that asap as we need to get cash flow going again. I will let you
know if we think of anything & thankyou for your support it is very much
 appreciated.
  Kindest regards,
  Ken.

I am truly sorry to hear of this terrible situation Jemtrek faces!

It is a very unfortunate case! The Govt in this country looks at every avenue to remove firearms from our society. To shut Firearm dealers down is an option they can and do pursue and will use the Police to help achieve this. I have a few friends who are licensed firearm dealers and raids are not uncommon.... You have to dot every "I" and cross every "T" in this country no matter what you do and when it is an issue with firearms it is even more-so!!!!

In the U.S you have the NRA and here we have the SSAA [Sporting Shooters Assoc of Aust]. The SSAA has nowhere near the influence or voice the NRA has in the States, but I am sure Ken and Jemtrek are in touch with them. They should be able to assist him with his case.

I hope Ken can win his case/cases! Though it does appear the GOVT want him shut down and will pursue all means to do so!!! It angers me to hear of these BS situations firearms owners face here in this country! I wish Ken the very best with the fight ahead! It will be a very big task [I know, as the Govt are trying to shut my ranch down with restrictions and there is little I can do]... He has my full support!!! Best wishes mate!
