I must compliment my GMC dealer. This morning I left off my 2005 Serria 1500, Extended Cab Z-71. The problem is that I have air leaks on both sides at the top of the doors. The service representative is ordering the parts. While it was in they found a leaky front seal which they repaired. And they checked a steering shaft which GM has developed a replacement part for and it was starting to come lose. All this was done under the warranty.
I just got off the OFFICE of Defect Investigations web page. The steering shaft problem appears to be common with 2005 GMC and 2005 Chevy Pickups. I know a bunch of you bought vehicles during the 2005 Employee Discount Event so you might want to get that pickup checked out by your dealer.
