Another 500 S&W Hog Kill
« on: February 13, 2007, 05:56:30 AM »
I shot another hog this past weekend with my 500. The shot was 110 yds. with a 370 gr. LFNGC @ 2160 fps. I shot it through both front shoulders at a slight angle. The bullet hit in the knuckle part of the offside shoulder and did not come out. It did plant the hog in its tracks. I'm probably going to go to a 410 gr. LFNGC for next year if it shoots good. Oh well off to the butcher for some sausage. ;)

I left them a note to look for the bullet , but evidentley they didn't do it, which doesn't surprise me.
