forged 1858 Uberti?

I seen Uberti is making a forged frame 1858.
Does anyone know anything about it ?
Such as compared to a original size wise?
and cost
and where to find one?

I understand the forged frame is the same size as the cast, but I haven't actually handled one or compared them.

I just got one a month ago from Taylor's. I never had a cast one to compare it to, but it looks and works nice.

I am still experimenting with caps that will go on and stay on. I have narrrowed it down to CCI #11's or RWS 1075's as the only thing that will stay on.. I did play with aftermarket nipples and had poor luck with them. The Uberti nipples are groved to help retain the caps... a nice idea. Replacements are really cheap if they are needed.

Taylor's sells RWS 1075 caps at a fairly competitive price. Don't be surprised however at the $20 hazardous shipping surcharge. If you can find a local dealer that has them in stock you may be better off paying retail unless you are buying a couple thousand caps at a whack.
