Encore 270 prohunter range report
« on: February 11, 2007, 11:34:57 AM »
I finally made it to the range with my 270 barrel.  I fired 5 shots, see the group below.  I then wanted to try out the leupold quick release mount and rings.  I took it off and put in on ten times and then fired another round.  AS you can see the round is a little out of hte regular group but acceptible for removing a scope and firing another shot.  I really like this mounting system.  Anyway back to the load.  I was using 52 grns of H380 with 110 grain sierra prohunter.  The barrel really likes this load.

Didn't anyone tell you, Encores don't shoot that good.

Seriously though, that is some good shooting. And with an Encore nevertheless.  ;D

I had always wondered about those quick release rings.  I've got a Kahles Multi-Zero that a buddy of mine was telling me to put in some quick release mounts and then use it on different barrels.  Then just sight it in with different barrels and switch back and forth.  Just don't know about that though  ???
