I remember the first time I really tried to melt all my lead into ingots. I ended up with two pallets piled three feet high with 30 pound ingots. Its a lot of work as you well know by now but it sure looked nice.

I sold it to a bullet manufacturer a few days later. I still remember what he said when he saw it. He tested it and smiled, saying it would meet his needs nicely and added that this would last him about 4 days...lol. Ive been selling lead ever since.

if its not a trade secret where do you find your lead?

Not really a trade secret but it would be almost impossible to buy from the people I buy from without some major connections so to speak.

I have to jump through a lot of hoops to buy my lead. I sign a contract everytime I pick it up promising not to reveal the source of my lead, what Ill do with it, that it will be melted down prior to resale, etc etc etc.

Lots of trouble but worth it.
