I picked up a 336 30-30 today!
« on: February 24, 2007, 04:30:31 PM »
I was in a pawn shop today checking out some rifles. I have been looking for a 336 30-30 for a while. The owner brought one out of his safe that was in decent shape for a decent price and I bought it. I plan on refinishing the stock and putting a scope on it. Wouldn't you know it, when the owner was pulling the 336 out of the safe he pulled out a Marlin 1894S 41 Rem mag in great shape for a good price.
I wish he wouldn't have done that! Now I have to go back there and buy that one too! DAMN! I've got a bad case of Marlinitus!

Lot of us have the same symptoms! ;D

The only way to make the symptoms disappear is find another lever action......after that the symptoms get better....but usually never go away!

Hey.....don't worry.....it usually isn't life threating, but can last a lifetime.......

Be happy, I had a bad case of Marlinitis, but it wore off, (temporarily), only to be replaced with another"itis".   Once the gun bug has bitten you, you are generally done for.
