I am talking plastic in general. I personally like the Zoom products, they have produced well, Berkley products are also good. Over the years I have, at some point, used most everything on the market, I started fishing plastic with the old Creme worms. They were only available in red or black and came rigged on a leader with a spinner in front of the worm, there was no weed guard, so you were always tieing on a new one. That was good for the company, but expensive for the serious fisherman.
For several years I only fished worms/lizards. I would take nothing else with me. By spending the time fishing the plastic, and learning how to use it, I think I became a better fisherman. When my wife started fishing, I did the same thing with her. Once she accomplished worm fishing I put her on a spinner bait, and from there to other baits. Even today, when she goes, she always wants to start with a plastic bait. She has more confidance, and thinks it produces bigger fish. I have to agree. :wink:
