relining a 30-30 win 94 barrel

does anyone know if it is possible to have a winchester 94 30-30 barrel relined to 25-35 . i know that you can have a barrel relined to the same caliber or even a larger caliber but i have never seen a barrel relined to a smaller caliber . does anyone have any suggestions on who to contact for such a job ? any info would be a help . thanks

I don't see why not. They ream the barrel for the liner and I don't think it would be a big deal. You may be able to find a barrel though.

Relining a barrel is done all the time. I have a 30/30 94 out to be lined to 25/35, should be getting it back in about 2 weeks. The only problem you might run into is the thickness of the barrel at the muzzle. If there is not a lot of wall thickness, like on a lightweight rifle with a " pencil " barrel, it can't be done. Redman sells liners in 25 cal and might do the work for you, you can find his number in Shotgun news or Gun Digest. The fellow that did mine has retired form the business.
