We had our worst storm of the year this week in this area ...  2" of snow and about a .5" of ice ... we have been very lucky but the winter is not done. The guys in Northern NY have had over 10 feet of snow according to the news. I have always tried to make the most out of the winter by reloading for all of my calibers and filling the ammo boxes. I read more in the winter and use the computer more.

wgr ...
I sure do ... it is the only 200 yard range I know of around here. I shoot at Dave's Gunshop in Holland most of the time. He is a good friend and this is where I buy almost all of my firearms. I used to work there on weekends to give him some time off but I haven't now for almost 1.5 years. It is a nice family owned business that is about as friendly as you can get. If you haven't ever been there, it is worth the trip as he carrys a pretty sizeable inventory for rural Southern Indiana. I go to Whitaker's in Owensboro too as their prices are really good with such a huge inventory. I bought my .300 wsm Win there a couple of years ago.

I've been bitchin about all the cold and no snow wasting all this good winter weather
without benefit.

Then today read the paper of our average snowfall: 26" and year to date of: 29.6"

Sure dont' seem like we've had that much.

A lot more fell on the plains east of here than we got. Four feet, then two more feet on top of it a week later and they're still trying to find their cow's.

Glad Pueblo is in the banana belt.

Yeah Weissen I was in Perth once, dead of winter, I think it was around 75, 80 degrees. All the locals were freezin we wanted to go swimming but then again having just left the north atlantic to get there it was quite the temp change. 8)

Hi Guys
Yeah the climate here on the southern half of the continent is very much a mediterranean climate, probalby very similar to southern California.
We get real hot dry summers and cool wet winters. Rainfall is about 12" per annum where I live. It NEVER snows.

I have only ever seen snow once in my life when I went over to the high country in the South East about 30 years ago.
Now here's a crazy fact....there is actually more snow in Australia during the season than there is in Switzerland....go figure.

Yeah Perth can be incredibly hot in the summer but quite mild in the winter with the moderating influence of the Indian ocean.
Spent some time there a few years ago, not a bad town although very remote.
