Low Power Scopes
« on: June 04, 2003, 06:11:48 AM »
Just purchased a Marlin 1894 in 357 for my son.  I need to put a scope on it.  I want a low power scope.  What is a good yet affordable scope for this rifle.  I was looking at the Bushnell Banner 1.5x4.5 has any one shot one.

WN,

One to consider is the Bushnell Trophy 1.75-5x32.  It is a couple of bucks over your $100.00 limit, but if you are planning on putting this on a Marlin 357, you are going to want something that can handle it.  There are not to many scopes under $100.00 that I personally would recommend for deer hunting.

Jon of the Opticzone is giving you good advice WN. Put a good scope on the 357 and you will only have to buy your son one scope. If your son likes hunting he will keep this gun and scope for the rest of his life as a keepsake because you got it for him. I wish you and your son happy hunting. Carl L.
