Refurbished Nikon Pro Staff
« on: February 18, 2007, 02:08:21 PM »
I picked up a refurbished Nikon Pro-Staff 2-7x32 for $75.00.  Did I make a mistake, the glass appears to be very good for the price?

you'll be fine as long as you don't need a warrentee...$75. sure isn't a bad price.

The warrentee is my only concern.  I always get in trouble walking throught the Bargain Cave at Cabelas.

I think that Nikon puts a 90 day warranty on refurbs.  Take it and shoot the heck out of it before the 90 days are up, to make sure there are no issues.  Really, though, what's the difference in getting a refurb and buying a used scope?  Nikon's warranty doesn't transfer as far as I know, and $75 IS a very nice price for any Nikon scope.

As for the Bargain Cave, I have become lost in there many times myself, and have had to buy my way out....to the wifes displeasure.   ;D

My understanding was that when you buy something from Cabelas bargain cave, its the same as new.  I've got several things from there and the warranty was always good.
