I can't speak for the Legend and not sure if it has AO.. but I have 3 Pro staffs  2 Buckmasters and a Monarch....for the $$$$ I'll buy the Prostaffs or the Buckmasters again. I have Weavers, Leupolds and Sightron too..from now on I'm spending my $$$$ on the Sightrons and Nikons. Just my opinion...

I have a 3X9X50 Legend on a .30-06 and a 3X9X40 Pro Staff on a .280.  Both are equally clear and precise with their adjustments.  If my choice would be is limited to these two, it would pretty much be the price that would be the deciding factor.  Heck, I might even ask the dealer for a deal if I were to buy both.   :D

I have the 2-7 prostaff on my 22 mag and it's a nice scope, but remember it's also set at 75 yds parallax, which works okay for my style of use. And may be good for your shooting also.
But for a 243 ya may want a 3-9 with 100yd parallax, they're not much more $ in the prodtaff line.
Nice glass for the money.

I didnt even notice the nikon was a shotgun scope. Suppose I should have read the specs better. :-[ I guess I'll have to go with the bushnell. I dont want a 3-9 because its a small light rifle and a 3-9 is an inch longer and an ounce or more heavier.

Thanks for the help
