« on: May 26, 2007, 03:26:53 AM »
Any comments on PMC brass i was having trouble finding brass for a 35 Remington i just picked up and found some PMC at a very good price . Anyone ever try PMC.It seems like every caliber i get into is now only seasonal run by most. I cant even find Remington brass for the 35 on the Remington website, i wonder if they dropped it i must give them a call

Thanks Tim i bought some from them this mourning i was wondering how there brass was. I cant beleive that Remington doesn't offer 35 rem. brass .I guess the newer calibers are catching on  and sales aren't what they used to be. I guess ibetter stock up when i can . I should be saving my money for when Winchester does there run on 358 win. brass this summer.

This won't help you, but I bought some .257 Weatherby PMC brass several years ago and it is by far the strongest brass available in that chambering.  The cases will take loads that cause a Norma or Weatherby case to stick tight in the chamber and eject them like a light factory load.  It is also dimensionally great, a better fit than Norma.  I doubt that all PMC brass is that good, but I do not know.

I won't use PMC even if it's free. Sorriest excuse for brass I've ever seen.

A place called  Lock, Stock and Barrel  carries Rem brass in .35, at a competitive price.   They also have many more calibers available.  Call them and request a magazine.   1-800-228-7925  or   http://www.lockstock.com/

I've read reports that ammo production for military use is affecting production, pricing and availability of civilian ammo.

The problems I've seen and experienced with PMC brass are numerous. I've seen over size rims on .30-30 that refused to even allow guns to close on it, soft cases, too hard cases, cases that crack on first firing and just too many more to enumerate.

I will not even pick it up or accept it if someone else does. I will not load it and I will not give it away. The ONLY think I'll do with it is trash it.

I've read reports that ammo production for military use is affecting production, pricing and availability of civilian ammo.

In some cases, Brass is under strict rationing and on back order for a year, possibly 18 months or more, for some calibers.  Military establishments around the World are stockpiling Ammo.

Or so I've heard.
