I picked up another FN49 today an Egyptian 8MM for $269 I couldn't pass up this deal I was looking for something different when I happen to see this one. Not too bad condition it just needs some cleaning, the bore is good and the stock has one arsenal repair thats it.       BigBill

Outside the M1/M14 family, the FN49 is probably my favorite issue rifle. I'd sure like to find one in '06 someday.

I bought one in '06 last month for $399 in excellent condition the FN's aren't easy to find cheap.  I never shot an FN yet I'm going to have to soon.                                                              BigBill

Just seen several nice FN 49's on this site, not to bad of a price for one in .308 at $350.00, they have other nice weapons also.

Too bad the 308's were rebarreled from the orginal 7.65 argentine they would be worth a lot more. I also read they changed the magazine cap too.  It still made me think about one in 308 just to plink with maybe.                                                              BigBill
