This one is B-25 in 44special calibre. It came from a shop in Santa Fe.

I want the one in the middle. Is that an original TLA case coloring and polishing job??.....Beautiful job to say the least. You have a tough decision to make next time you go hunting or shooting. Nice collection! That border special is kind of cute. Wish I had one.

Holy mackerel I like that 44 spl. I guess it's on the same frame size as his others. Whew, what a gun. I saved the pics to make a copy on an om Ruger.

Jim,

Two of them have come to me only recently. The 44mag has seen just moderate use. I have to spread the shooting equally amongst multiple others, lest they become jealous of one another and discord in the vault ensues (see pics).

And to you targetshootr, thank you for the comment. As some of us must admit, part of the enjoyment in ownership lies in the fact that others covet what we have. That is a sad and shallow way to be, but I can't help it.

It's odd that he made it 44 spl on such a large gun. He made one stainless 44 mag with a banded barrel and folding leaf rear sight with the same grip frame but I think it was 5 1/2".

One of the long barreled guns is a 12" Va. Dragoon Buntline in .41magnum. The other is a 10" Laredo by El Dorado out of Chimney Rock, NC. It's in .45LC. That gun equals those of Grover in quality and workmanship, maybe more so, in my opinion. I've also got a 7.5" United Sporting Arms...the stainless El Dorado model. It's not pictured. One of the Rugers, a 6.5" New Model, has had a longer, unfluted custom cylinder by Clements which fills the frame window completely. It's built for the 357DW (Dan Wesson) cartridge. That's mid-length between the magnum and the maximum 357's. Fast and accurate it is. Can you identify the remainder?

I spy a nickel flat top, an old army, and a Vaquero with adjustable sight among others.

If it's not too much trouble Major, a view of the Border Special rear sight and top strap would be swell for the smith I send these pics to. Looks like I found a birdshead gf which leaves an old model platform and a barrel to find.

Thank you, Raj, for the comment. Targetshooter, there aren't any nickel guns nor a Vaquero to be found in the lot.

Kap, what's the one in the back row, first that's stainless or nickel. At a glance it looks like a flat top. If you post more pics that would be great. I've got a 41 mag old model frame in rough shape that's gonna become a Border Special.

Thanks for doing that Kap. What an awesome collection. Have you tried out the Border Special? I'm going back and forth on making it mag or spl. Does the dished out part above the hammer cause any glare?

In BB6Guns Taffin mentions they were 4" which is what I woulda guessed.

Whenever this project comes to pass it may wind up 45 colt and it would be a great help if I had your gun to measure and fondle for, let's say, a year or so.
