Who's ready for spring?
« on: March 05, 2007, 02:29:09 AM »
I'm getting a little antsy for the spring fish bite... and hate to say it but, I'm sick of the cold and snow.  We've got at least a couple feet on the ground here, some areas much more where the snow drifted.  I didn't get a chance to take a vacation this year beside deer hunting (again.. cold  ::) ) so I'm ready for WARM!

Am I the only one?

Had the fine pleasure of running into Bearfat over at the Mountain the other day.  So good to see you!  Sorry we couldn't talk longer, seems like the customers come in flocks up there all night.  We'll have to get together for some fishing this spring if not this winter yet.   :)

Hey HuntingGuy:
Know how you feel. I'm setting here keeping warm buy the wood stove looking at the -5 below on the thermometer, the wind chill is -40. Winter came late for us and we knew we would pay for it. SO MUCH FOR GLOBAL WARMING!!!! Haven't heard much about that lately, have we? We should be out tapping the trees for sugaring by now. Maybe this weekend they say. Want to get out and do some plinking. Got alot of ammo to burn & some new guns to try out.
Well it's time to go vote.  Town elections in VT. today.  THINK SPRING.

Yeah, I second the soft water fishing idea. The early spring crappies, and the smallmouths are a callin' me. Just a little yote hunting and then the only shooting will be at the range for a few months. Also have to shoot my new muzzleloader! So much to do - so little time.
