Altered 13th Chromosome Russian
« on: December 12, 2002, 03:36:48 PM »

Story?  Ya want the story huh, do ya do ya :-D

Okie Dokie:

Was settin up in the stand with my FA 475 Linebaugh, freezin my gadoolas off. Seen one rooter all mornin and it was nothin I wanted to shoot.  Horse dung!  I'd a killed it square if I had a decent shot

Well it's nigh on 11:30 and I'm prayin the guide comes fetch me fer lunch.  Yabba Dabba DO, here come a rooter, an a good un too.  Now he got two palces to go, trail off to the right, or the one to me.  Dumb pig, picks my trail.

Steady....steady....BLAM!   WHAT! Pig runs!  Hmmm......So I get outa the stand and go see where he was.  Pile of hair, blood, and 3 feet away, the bottom 1/3 of the heart.  Blood trail a blind man coulda followed, plus it was on snow.  I figure he ain't going far with a hit like that.  Some 300 yards later he goes into the wicked thick stuff, now my stones start to shrivel up.

Along comes "Tobey" the guide.  Just in time Dingleballs I say, we got us a rooter to dig out.  So in we go.  There was guts, liver, and vital organs scattered everywhere, hung on low branches....pig HAD to be dead.  Fifteen minutes later we were still trailin when I see what I thought was a log.  Then it moved like a bullet, right for Tobey.  I yelled but the pig was on em, hit em HARD.  The kid run like Hell with the rooter on his heels.  He made a go for a tree and the hog nailed him again!  I can't shoot for fear of hitting the kid.

Kid decides to run for me figgerin the pig will go for me instead as he's had about enough.  But the tusker had other ideas, he swung right and I went to head him off.  We met eye to eye where the trails met. Pig stood his ground starin at me.  I could see the hate in his eyes, that pig WANTED me.  He starts pawin.  The second he lowered his head for the charge I lit him up right at the base of the skull. He was already in motion when the 400 grain slug hit home.  Made another15 yards and folded with his snout on my left foot.

Kid looks at me and says, wasn't you gonna move?  Hell no I said, pig gets that close there IS no place to run.  Gotta stand your ground an finish what ya started.  I was gonna just drop the gun down and empty it as he pushed me, but he never made it to the hit.

Sounds like a fairy tail you say?  Try one, you'll LIKE it..... or, ya'll be kilt:lol:

Great story Coug.

What/why the altered 13th chromosone?  What characteristics change in the rooters with this alteration?

Got me curious... :?

Tony

It seems the 13th Chromosome is the one that controls the temperment level of the animal, and, it also seems to regulate the strength level.  So what we have is a riled up super pig

Imagine the look of horror on the hunter's face when he plants a 300 grainer square where it belongs and said rooter does not even flinch!

Again, imagine seeing internal organs strewn about, hung up on low branches, and no hog to be seen.  But you just KNOW he's lurking behind the next bush, waiting.......one thought left on his mind before he checks out.  TO TAKE YOU WITH HIM!

Forget shot placement, forget calibers, forget energy figures.  These pigs can absorb a hit from a 50 BMG and still be in the ring.

I praise the man who did this to them Russians every night :-)
