Hey All,I have had both 2506 AI and 280 AI,in ruger #1 and Remington rifle and a SIG  and the velocity averaged 125 fps over the standard cases,They are not majic calibers but they do perform better,its just something about haveing a wildcat the is great.Its not for everyone but they work.
Shoot once and carry a sharp knife.

IMHO, the .280 AI is one of the very best hunting cartridges.  It has moderate, easily manageable recoil and is flat shooting.   My .280 AI is one of my favorite rifles, and I am a fan of Mr. Aclkey's wildcats and his books are quite a nice read!

but as my gunsmith buddies beat into me, (may they rest in peace)... when you come to sell the rifle... it is a wildcat... luck.
