Low profile hammer?
« on: March 04, 2007, 06:41:22 AM »
Is there such a thing as a low profile hammer for my 12g shotgun? Is that possilble? I'm just pretty sure I saw a .410 once, and it had a hammer but it was really low to the gun.

My 1973 production year .410 H&R has a low profile hammer. it runs nearly parallel with the barrel , not at the more upright angle found on the NEF's today.
you could, i guess, get a replacement hammer from Numrich's and r&r it wiht the hammer you have now. assuming everything else was the same..i know that my old gun doesnt have a tranfer bar safety. my .02 Glenn
