No...it appears that Savage Arms did what alot of gun makers do and gave-up producing what could have been a very fine bolt hand-gun. They had done everything right/correct...except that lousy trigger! Remington XP's were to me the best of the best...as far as accuracy, dependablity, and one crisp trigger. But instead of producing a few to handgunners that wanted and appreciated them...they put away their tooling...for the dollar could be made easier elsewhere. Then there is Weatherby...come-on folks...the shooting public wants hand cannons...handguns that launch large bullets at high velocities...at large critters! Oh for one of those sweet double-barreled Howdah Pistols of yesteryear...
