Savage model 10??
« on: March 05, 2007, 05:46:32 AM »
I picked this rifle up brand new in 7mm-08 at what I consider to be a great price.  It shoots great, was just wandering was it originally sold as package gun or what?  Don't see any talk of the model 10, just the 100 I think.  Thanks!!
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I do know at one time you could get the model 10 as a package deal the scopes where ether a Simmons or a Bushnell depending on what they had in the factory when they put it together. The sports authority that I worked in sold a lot of them

Does it have an Accu-trigger...?
I know I have a model 10 in .223 and a Model 12 in .243 and think these rifles a about the best you can get for the money.
A Model 10 in a 7mm-08 should be a rareity. If it's got a 24 inch barrel on it, you got one heck of a rifle.  I really like the 7mm-08 and to have one in a Savage Model 10 would be a dream come true. Hope it shoots as well as the other rifles I've shot in 7mm-08. I just absoultey love that cartridge.
Have fun shooting it and enjoy!!!
