700 Sendero SF value
« on: March 07, 2007, 08:01:28 AM »
I need to pay the bills and having been cut WAY back at work, I'll need to sell a few rifles.  One I am thinking of selling is my Remington 700 SF Sendero chambered in 300 RUM.  It is the stainless, fluted model wiith the speckled gray composite stock. I can't find this specific rifle in my gun value book so was hoping someone here would have access to a better book.  This rifle has only had one box (20 rounds) through it and is in NIB condition (have box too).  It also has a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14X 50mm scope in Leupold rings and bases, also in new condition.  Should I sell them together or seperately?  What could I reasonably ask for this rifle?  It is amazingly accurate based on the one box of factory ammo I've put through it.

Thanks for any help.

I would go to gunbroker.com and search for other rifles like yours.  Personal experience, I do better by selling them separate.  Have a nice day.

I bought one just like it last year. This gun was 2 years old but never had a scope mounted and had only 2 rounds fired thru it. Basiclly new. I thought that 600.00 was a fair price, however I gave 650.00 just because I wanted it. Depending on the condition of each rifle most (unscoped) go from the 450.00 to 700.00 range. By your description, I would guess in the 600.00-650.00 range. The problem comes in when one pays to much for the gun originally. My 7rum sendero was taken home NIB for 720.00, so 600-650 would seem fair. The ones that got "hosed" and gave 850-950 for theirs don't think much of 600-650 for resale.
Having said all this I'm prepared to to give ya 200.00 for yours and will let you keep the scope. LOL

Really pm me with offer, have a buddy looking for one.

Good luck, DM

ps - also, what other rifles are you considering selling.
