Kodiak BEAR HUNT ,500 PC HUNTER WITH MAKE OVER
« on: April 03, 2007, 04:13:46 PM »
[ftp]

Well I went and done it .
I had my revolver refinished to look like a Bengal Tiger .
I think it turned out sharp to say the least .

I have been approached by two magazines to do an article on my upcoming Spring Kodiak Brown Bear hunt with which I will be using my revolver as my main firearm .
I leave in little over two weeks for a three week hunt .

Yes I will be using my 700 Grain Tryno Thumpers.
Took a beautiful Black Bear last year with the PC Hunter .

The article head line will be
"Bengal Tiger VS Kodiak Brown"

That is if I tag one !!!!!!!!

RR, looks cool. I like the way they left the back of the cylinder unfinished. I know it is for the prevention of drag marks in the finish. I wish you all the luck and I know them 700 gr. bullets will do the job.

That color will help camoflauge you in the bright orange dingo bushes we have up here in AK!  haha

Well I am betting on the Bengal Tiger.  I can't wait to hear how those big rounds do on one of those big bears.  Take lots of pics for us guys that may never have the thrill of hunting up there in person.

Tiga vs Poo Bear!

Better than camo - you put your gun down and lose it with camo.

I like it, but not sure I'd do it to any of my guns.

Rick,
I picked up some bullets from you while in Homer last summer, you brought them down to the camping area to me. I still haven`t gotten around to reloading any of them yet. I`ve been doing all of my playing with rifles since I got back and have not worked up any handgun loads yet, but will get to it when the weather gets hotter here. I can`t wait to see what those 700 grn. .500 bullets will do. Would love to live up there where you do, but with all the grandkids down here there is no chance of getting grandma to live up there, guess I could leave her here but after liveing with her for 36 years + I wouldn`t know what to do with out her. I`ll load for accuracywith your bullets and let you know how they do sometime this summer.
