Nationals in Raton
« on: March 02, 2007, 12:28:31 PM »
I've been considering makeing a trip to the matches in Raton. I was wondering do most shooters stay at the range ?, or is it easier to just find a motel in the area? LouisV

Everything will probably sell out if it's not already done so. The range has nice cabins and camping spaces, and there are lots of motels in town. Probably best to call and see what is available, if anything. We're going to stay in the campground in the 5th wheel.

Don't forget Trinidad, Colorado if hotels in Raton are full .... only 30 minutes or so.

I prefer the founders cabins though

Thanks for the tips, Once the program for the match arrives I'll start putting together plans for the trip. I was suprized at the number of motels in a town the size of Raton after doing a search. It would be handy to stay at the range but as this will be a mini vacation of sorts for me and the wife. We'll need a hotel. LouisV
