My 2 newest handi's / with pics

Got the 243 superlite and 30/30 set up and shot this week , one look will show the diffrence between day and night  ;) and NO Sun GLasses Required .

First is the 243 SL.



And the 30/30



What do you think ?

You are really tempting me!  The local Wal Mart has a .280 cal Handi with a $202 price tag on it.  Saw it yesterday, had the money in my pocket but tore myself away.  Thought I did a good job of resisting temptation....maybe I should reward myself now!

I like your white stock.  I've sprayed a few stocks black, most notably an SKS with butt ugly wood, but now I think I need to branch off into more exotic colors like several people have done with their Handis.

Lookin good Stimpy, the white stocked .30-30 is all ready for huntin in the snow!! ;D Course you could just be trickin us and the white is just a primer coat for a more bodacious color, I use a white undercoat on all my fluorescent fishing lures!!  :o

Wonder how tiger stripes would look? This could open up a whole new area of art!

BTW I like the way you have your scope caps looped on your scope, when I'm hunting and take my scope caps off I always am wondering what to do with them.  Your way they won't get lost.

The white is the top color and it has 3 coats of poly. on top of that , i think i need a diffrent scope for it though , maybe another 3x9 Bushnell , me like them .  ;D

These were put together from spare and 2nd hand parts , don't have pics of the new ones yet , might skip the next new one and get a Dig. cam so i don't have to wait for one of my sisters to come and take pics for me .

Quick,
I like your stocks but I was thinking more 'literally' like a tiger, you know, like orange with very dark brown stripes....like a tiger.  I can tell that your taste runs a little more subdued than Stimpy's.

The curly maple is a beautiful piece of wood!

Thanks, Stimpy and I was just pullin y'all's chain!! Something tween the gray stock with black markings on it(which isn't mine btw, rockape bought it at PM, IIRC)  and Stimpy's all white would be great!! :D

I'm starting to think along the lines of a fashion 'wardrobe' for Handis. Stimpy is the tailor...  ;)

Let's see, it is a nice morning and I'm in the mood for a quiet walk in the woods, I'll go with a subdued camo stock with a 357 mag barrel loaded with nice quiet 38spl wadcutters.

Later in the day, some evening wear, something a little more formal for a couple of hours sighting in or just punching holes in paper. I think I will go with the white stocks, and a medium caliber like .308 or 30-06, topped by a flat black scope in the 4-10 power range.

Saturday morning at the rimfire silhouette matches, the .22 mag Ultra Bull Barrel wearing a custom made thumhole stock and 24x scope. In the car, awaiting the afternoon free for all on the centerfire range, a .223 Bull Barrel in one of Stimpy's day-glo fashions with the biggest scope, and the biggest objective lense in the collection - simply to attract maximum attention.

Then I'll bring out the Sportsters for the kids. Stripes and colors for them. Lots of stickers or decals. Maybe a non-permanent marker for each kid to add his/her own artwork on the glossy surface of one of the Stimpster's solid color stocks

Get the idea.... ;D ;D ;D
