Ruger factory ring question.
« on: March 18, 2007, 12:25:15 PM »
Do any of you guys who have Ruger rings know of a socket or allen head screw that would work on the factory rings. The 22 Magnum that I just bought used has rings were the little blued screws are buggered. I would like to replace them with allen or torx heads. Any suggestions?

Oh one other thing. Do you guys know if someone makes a quick take off lever for Ruger rings (that is buggered too I think that the guy that had this before me must not have heard of gun screw drivers). It would be kinda cool if someone did.

I had the same problem. I called Ruger and purchased new ones at a reasonable price

I do not know the part # but brownells sells them but they do not always have them in stock. word of caution they are kinda weak so do not over torque them.
