I use Blue Dot in 223 with 50gr bullets.Started at 6grs and worked up a half grain at a time to 11.5 grains.Really started getting accurate at 9.5-11 grains.I settled on 10 grains and it shoots right at half inch for 3 shots at 100 yards, almost matching my normal load.It does hit about 5 inches lower than the load I use,but have found that when scope is set on 4x I can use where the duplex gets thick for aiming point.Have hit pop caps easy at 100 doing that.
Mostly use it for paper punching, and for plinking.Remember the pressures are right up there with normal loads, and my load using 10 grains is still going around 2700fps,so about like a hornet.Nice thing is I get hornet performance and can load 700 rounds per lb of powder.
Give it a try and have fun.
