Must be some hunters getting back with a tale or two ehhhh?

I did get mine on the opener and my buddy who refuses any advice and came back in to nap didn't see squat. Snooze you lose!!!! The bear was out there too while he snoozed!!!

Any pics? The only really cool thing I saw was the gall bladder. Never saw one that big or blue. Was the size of my fist. Also got some video right after the shot of it bleeding out from neck artery and going into grand mal seizures. That was something. Wanted to get the shot on digital but never heard him coming he just appeared. Couldn't turn the camera on he would have heard the start up noise.

Got the donut blob in Northern Minnesota on what we call the "North Shore". It is the long stretch of land next to lake Superior. I'm 50 miles north of Duluth MN.

Got lots of cool stuff in the area. Wolf, bear, some moose, lynx, pine martin.

Hoping to get "live" critters on new 12X zoom digital camera. I'm new to GO forum but will be around posting here and there.

I do have a web site about the hunting shack (not spam, I ain't selling nothing) off to left. I guess it's that little world icon you see. The site is constantly changing as I expand it. Got too much stuff on some pages, specifically the video. It's a work in progress I hope to finish in 5 years.

The mice actually own the cabin. Filthy vermiin. It's a hate relationship with them.

My bear hunt was successful. Shot him threw the back came out threw his heart. He then hit the ground dead. Got him up in Canada the 16th of Aug at 5:30 p.m. I am having him mounted full body. He'll be walking on some fake rocks.

What kind of hassle does Canada have these days? Last I heard you had to use one of their taxidermist, bolt actions only, blah, blah, blah.

Any thing that irked you up there? I wouldn't mind going timber wolf hunting again up there but if I have to jump thru a bunch of hoops forget it. I'll spend my money down here!

Dusty Miller,

I shot him with a 300 shooting a 200gr Nosler Partition at 40 yds.

He came out went right to the bait bucket. Standing sideways with his head in the bucket, so I had to get my rifle to the other side of the tree that was supporting the tree stand. Next time I looked he had his back to me now. So I line up the cross hairs where I thought his heart would be and pulled the trigger.

There wasn't any problem going thru customs at all. Just had to pay to reg. rifle $25.00.
Had passport also. It will be required next year.

What outfitter didyou use in Manitoba. I'm looking for one I can afford. The ones I've hunted with have gotten real pricey.
