Did Valmet ever offer any barrels in .45 calibers?
Thanks Ridge

The most powerfull cartridge Valmet ever offered is the 9.3x74R...

The largest caliber they offered was .375 and the chambering was 375 Win..

I made up some bigger stuff, but in the U.S., if the 9.3x74R can't do it, it can't be done!   ;D

Mr. Ridgeviewer,
Don't know if you are interested but Pedersoli makes several muzzle loading "Cape Guns" (SxS), in calibers up to .72 rifled barrel.  I do not know just how well the barrels are regulated as they provide two flip-up sights; and considering how little they cost.
Best Wishes

Hi WindWalker,  I appreciate the reply. I've looked at those and they are pretty nice.
I've kinda got my heart set on building something a little less smokey... ;D  A double would be the icing on the cake!!
Anyone know of a barrel maker that would build a set of barrels for the 412?

Sure...  IF you have a truck load of money.  No one would do one affordable though...

"If" i remember right, i made up an expermental bbl. set in .408"  At least i think i still have it...  As i remember it's chambered for 408x74R.  It's something i was playing around with for a time, and i decided the RDS line was more in keeping with what my customers wanted...

I'm not sure what you have in mind, but it may make a cool muzzle loader project??

Drilling Man, That indeed would make a very cool muzzleloading project!
Ever see a fat guy do a back flip, two and one half gainer form a computer chair? :o  It wasn't pretty, but you get the idea... ;D
Check your PM's when you have a chance.
Thanks, Ridge
