Who sells picatinny 1" rings?
« on: March 06, 2007, 04:43:42 AM »
Hi guys,

Who sells 1" picatinny rings, not weaver style with the 3.8mm cross bar, but real picatinny with the 5mm cross bar? The only ones I have been finding are in the $100 range, and they were mostly 30mm and too tall for what I need. I looked at The Optics Zone, Mueller and Mid South, no joy, Midway was just too rich for my blood right now.

So, any suggestions on where to find them at a reasonable price? I don't expect them to be free, somewhere between $25 to $40 dollars, but the $100 range per ring is right out for now.

Thanks,
Greg

I have been looking for them, but none of the normal suppliers have them for picatinny rails, just the standard weaver size. That is my problem, where to buy them.

IOR Valdada. They use a 1 inch insert for the 30mm rings. Also Warne rings work well with the picatinny rail.  I doubt you will find any cheap.

Thanks, will check it out. I don't figure they will be cheap, but the only ones I was finding the other night were $100+ per ring, not a set, I don't mind paying $50-$100 for a set, but not for one ring!

It appears that the "standard" Warne Maxima rings (about $30.00) fit both weave and picatinny.  Brownell's sells Tactical Maxima rings for picatinny for $98.53 and Big River Tactical offers the same rings for $79.99.  I have never dealt with Big River but I am thinking about order a set of these.

I love Warne rings, good service too.  I have found the the best price on a wide variety of rings is to be found at  cheaper than dirt.   save about $10 over other sellers.
