Got bitten by an older bug

I just recently picked up a browning/FN hi-power that came with a lot of extras for a nice price.  I did some research on the model and found a lot of interesting facts.  I am thinking of getting one of the GI 45's that Sprinfield makes.  I know their is some interesting facts with that model also.  I guess I am leaning to start  collecting military firearms.  BUT, I would rather have ones that are remakes by compaines right now.  I like to shoot everything that I have.  I know that Springfield makes the M1 Grande also.  I seem to like the firearms during WWII.  Asking input on what you think as a "must" to have and who makes them.  For example did anyone remake lugers, M1 carbine, etc.  Thanks everyone!

Kahr Arms makes an M1 carbine,  Interarms used to import a descent shooter luger (these are around).  You can still buy inexpensive police surplus P-38's.  Mitchel's has arsenal refurb Mausers and all kinds of other stuff.  Good luck!
