Synthetic vrs. Superlight Differences?
« on: March 16, 2007, 09:45:54 AM »
Members:  Would anyone know what the differences are between a Synthetic Handi and a Superlight Handi, both in 22 Hornet, besides the 2" in barrel length?  Something has to account for the supposed 1 1/2 lb weight difference between the two of them (7 lbs. versus 5 1/2 lbs).  Perhaps barrel contour, as well?  Just curious - Thanks.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the great outdoors.

As far as i know the barrel is the only diffrence in these 2 rifles , the superlite has a shorter barrel as well as a slimmer contour , but i still don't see 1 1/2 diffrence . maybe H&R has a diffrent scale than the rest of the world .  ???

As you already know the barrel of the Superlight is 2" shorter than the regular contour barrel, it also has a thinner profile. However the weights as advertised by H&R are not always "spot on" as they say....<><.... :)
