MOSSBERG SSI LEAVER ACTION

Does any one have any experance with the Mossberg ssi they look like a rurger #1  what are the pro. and cons ?

Deacon, you might try posting this on the single shot forum since the SSI is considered to be a single shot rather than a lever action.

I will chime in here with a couple of comments. I own an SSI-One in .243. Recently mounted a Bushnell 3-9 but with the weather in Ohio I haven't had it to the range. Scope can be mounted low because of the hammerless design. Weight is about 8lbs and I think it balances well. Comes to my shoulder nicely. additional barrels are scarce as "hen's teeth".  I bought this one with the idea of finding a .308 barrel, but so far, no luck.

I have an 308 and it is an outstanding gun.  My only complaint is its trigger.
