I have had about 15 birds up to almost 50 at a time in my yard.  The average is about a 15.  Today they were here 5 times.  Mostly jakes and last years jakes nothing of size but healthy.  I have been hearing gobbles and even seen some struting going on.  We still have 2 feet of snow and they come down to scratch where I have plowed the snow down to bare ground.  The winter is starting to break so they will be more active now.  I'm in central Vermont.

Turkeys are going nuts here in Upstate NY. They've been gobbling like crazy. Since we got hit with a big snow back in Feb. The only food supply for them has been around my farm, I can have anywhere's from 20-50 (sometimes more) birds at any given time. This morning alone I had 17 toms in full strut all at the same time out in the field. So far my spring season looks promising, but there's a lot of time for that to change.

In florida, last weekend,  they were blowing their heads off early in the morning...
and pretty much shut up about 1 hour after sun up...and would gobble just
before roosting.

Seeing some, but hearing nuttin' here in VA.  Spotted a big ol' Tom just out wandering around all by himself yesterday just after noon, but I couldn't coax him to make a peep.  Two weeks and two days 'til season opens. Can't wait.  Walt  ;)
