Congrats on your new/old purchase :grin: Some of those old catalog brands are great deals. The JC Higgins Brands were made by Savage, High Standard, Stevens, Marlin, and even Sako and Browning made a gun for them. If you do not have a Numerich Gun Parts catalog which has a "store brand" cross reference maunal reply back with the model # of your gun and I will try to see who made it for you and what model the 'Name Brand" was for you. This helps in case you would need any parts or info about your gun if the future. Jim

RD, It is the same as  a Marlin Model 81. Marlin makes nice 22's.

Splendid ha ha, the model 20 according to the chart  is a High Standard Model 200. I hope this helps you out guys  :grin:
